Our Systematic 6-Step Process

Every project follows our proven six-step process, ensuring quality, transparency, and on-time delivery.

1

Inspection & Assessment

We thoroughly evaluate your machine’s mechanical, electrical, and geometric condition to identify every wear point and upgrade opportunity.

2

Proposal & Approval

Based on the inspection findings, we prepare a detailed proposal covering the recommended scope of work, timeline, cost estimate, and expected performance outcomes. No surprises — you approve before we begin.

3

Disassembly & Diagnosis

We systematically disassemble and catalogue every component, using detailed measurements to finalize your restoration plan and identify any hidden issues.

4

Core Service Execution

This is where the transformation happens. Depending on your chosen service:

  • Reconditioning: Targeted restoration of specific wear points like spindles, drives, and ball screws.

  • Remanufacturing: Total system rebuild (mechanical, electrical, and fluid) to original OEM specifications.

  • Technology Upgrades: In-house modernization of CNC controls, motors, and interfaces.

5

Assembly & Testing

Machines are meticulously reassembled and verified for geometric accuracy, spindle runout, and axis alignment. Every system undergoes load testing to ensure it meets all performance and surface finish standards.

6

Final Calibration & Handover

We use laser interferometry and ballbar testing to ensure your machine meets or exceeds OEM specs. You receive full documentation—including calibration records and test certificates—plus operator training on all new systems.

Machines We Serve

We work across all major CNC and conventional machine types. If it's a precision machine, chances are we can restore it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions we hear most from manufacturers evaluating their machine restoration options.

What's the difference between reconditioning and remanufacturing?

Reconditioning is a targeted restoration — we address specific worn components (spindles, ways, ball screws, drives) to bring your machine back to its original specifications without a full teardown. Remanufacturing is a complete ground-up rebuild where every system — mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic — is disassembled, inspected, and restored or replaced to return the machine to like-new condition. Reconditioning suits machines with isolated issues; remanufacturing is the right choice when the machine needs a comprehensive overhaul.

How long does each service typically take?

Timelines depend on machine size, condition, and the scope of work. As a general guide:

Reconditioning: 2–4 weeks for most standard machines

Remanufacturing: 6–12 weeks depending on machine complexity

Technology Upgrades: 4–8 weeks including commissioning and training

We provide a specific timeline in our proposal after the initial inspection, and we keep you updated at every milestone.

What machines are eligible for your services?

We work with all major types of CNC and conventional precision machines — grinding machines (surface, cylindrical, centerless), turning machines (CNC lathes, VTLs), milling machines (VMC, HMC, bed type), and special purpose machines. If you're unsure whether your machine qualifies, contact us for a free eligibility assessment. In most cases, if the machine's base casting is structurally sound, we can restore or upgrade it.

What warranty and post-service support do you provide?

Every completed project comes with a warranty covering the work performed. The specific warranty period depends on the scope of service. Beyond the warranty, we provide ongoing technical support — if you have questions about your machine's performance or need maintenance guidance, our engineering team is available. We're invested in the long-term performance of every machine we work on.

How much does reconditioning or remanufacturing cost compared to buying a new machine?

Reconditioning and remanufacturing typically cost between 30% and 60% of the price of an equivalent new machine — while delivering comparable performance. Technology upgrades (retrofitting conventional machines with CNC controls) offer similar savings at 40–60% of new machine cost. The exact savings depend on your machine type and the scope of work. We provide a detailed cost breakdown in our proposal so you can make an informed comparison.

Can you upgrade my conventional machine to CNC?

Yes — this is one of our core services. We retrofit conventional and manual machines with modern CNC controls from leading manufacturers including Fanuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi, and Rockwell. The upgrade includes new servo motors, drives, feedback systems, control panels, wiring, and full operator training. Your existing machine frame and base are preserved while the control and drive systems are completely modernised. Many of our clients have successfully transitioned their conventional fleets to CNC capability this way.
